Rwanda Launches First Coffee Exhibition in Pakistan

Islamabad, January 29-30, 2026 - The Rwandan Embassy in Pakistan, in collaboration with the National Agriculture Export Board (NAEB), launched Rwanda’s first coffee exhibition in Pakistan, showcasing the country’s high-quality coffee. Minister of Industry and Trade Prudence Sebahizi highlighted Rwanda’s strategic position in Africa, emphasizing the country’s potential to help investors access the African market of over 1.2 billion people through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Pakistan’s Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan expressed willingness to collaborate with Rwanda in agro-manufacturing, leather, and agricultural production, and pledged to facilitate the entry of Rwandan coffee into the Pakistani market. The exhibition featured Rwandan Ambassador Harerimana Fatou, NAEB Director General Claude Bizimana, and business leaders from both countries. Coffee remains a major economic crop for Rwanda, with exports generating over 216 billion Rwf in 2025, up from 129 billion Rwf in 2024, totaling 23,860 tons, an increase from 17,142 tons in 2024.
