Rwanda and Mexico Mark 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations
January 29, 2026 - Rwanda and Mexico celebrated the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties at a ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya, attended by Mexican Ambassador Gisele Fernández Ludlow and Rwandan Ambassador to Kenya Ernest Rwamucyo. Ambassador Fernández Ludlow said the two countries have built a strong partnership through financial and international cooperation, adding that future efforts will focus on expanding collaboration, particularly in tourism and international events. Ambassador Rwamucyo подчеркнул that Rwanda values its long-standing ties with Mexico, citing decades of dialogue, cooperation, and support for international law. Diplomatic relations between the two countries began on January 21, 1976.
