Kinshasa - Rawbank has been named Bank of the Year 2025 in the Democratic Republic of Congo by The Banker, a Financial Times Group publication, announced on December 12, 2025.

This award recognizes the best-performing and strongest financial institutions in their market. Rawbank distinguished itself through improved results, progress on its transformation program, and its role in financing major projects, including a $400 million international consortium for the expansion of the Kamoa-Kakula oil pipeline.

Between 2022 and 2024, Rawbank strengthened its financial position and undertook a strategic rebranding in April 2025. CEO Mustafa Rawji hailed the award as recognition of the hard work of his teams and the trust of customers.

This new trophy adds to previous awards received this year, including Best Bank in the DRC (Euromoney Awards 2025) and World's Safest Bank 2025 (Global Finance). With $6.2 billion in assets and a network of over 100 branches across 19 provinces, Rawbank remains a major player in the Congolese banking sector.
