Niamey, December 11, 2025 - Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, H.E. Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, arrived this Thursday in Bamako, the capital of the Republic of Mali, for an official visit of considerable political and economic importance. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Major General Abdoulaye Maïga, Prime Minister and Head of the Malian Government.

The welcoming ceremony took place in the presence of several members of the Malian government, as well as a large Nigerien community mobilized for the occasion. This mobilization lent the event a fraternal and symbolic character, illustrating the depth of the historical and fraternal relations between Niger and Mali.

The national band and military honors bestowed upon the head of the Nigerien government lent particular prestige to this official arrival. These protocol gestures testify to the strength of the ties of cooperation and solidarity between the member states of the Confederation of Sahel States (CSA).

Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine's visit is part of the CSA Finance Ministers' meeting. This strategic meeting is dedicated to the implementation of the Confederation of Investment and Development Bank (BCID-CSA), a major financial instrument of the Confederation.

The BCID-CSA will be tasked with financing strategic infrastructure and structuring development projects within the member states. It aims to reduce external dependence, strengthen economic sovereignty, and promote sustainable regional integration for the benefit of the Sahel's population.
