Ouagadougou, December 12, 2025 - The hearing for the case of YE Yaké Camille and others began on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Ouaga I High Court, with the Criminal Chamber sitting as the Economic and Financial Chamber.

The court adjourned the proceedings to Monday, December 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., when the trial will officially commence before the 1st Chamber of the Economic and Financial Chamber.

This case follows the earlier high-profile trial of Teignan Hamidou and others. Defendants in the current proceedings, including former minister Laure ZONGO/HIEN, face charges of embezzlement of public funds, complicity in embezzlement, illicit enrichment, and money laundering.

The upcoming hearings will provide a detailed examination of the alleged facts, adhering to the principles of transparency and judicial rigor that guide the Burkinabè legal system.
