Niger: National Lottery Reports 35% Revenue Growth in 2024

Niamey, December 19, 2025 - Niger’s National Lottery (LOLANI) generated 73.544 billion CFA francs in revenue in 2024, up from 54.301 billion CFA francs in 2023, marking a 35% increase, announced Director General Colonel-Major Soumana Djibo in an interview with the national weekly Sahel Dimanche.

“For 2024, Lonani achieved a turnover of 73,544,839,000 CFA francs, compared to 54,301,710,665 CFA francs in 2023,” he said, adding that the 2025 fiscal year is projected to reach 97 billion CFA francs.

Colonel-Major Djibo explained that the gambling sector is experiencing rapid growth, mobilizing a significant portion of national savings, and highlighted the need for companies to adapt to the digital market. Currently, Parifoot is the only product sold online, but the goal for 2026 is to digitize all products and expand digital games to bring LOLANI closer to its customers.

As a public industrial and commercial establishment, LOLANI’s mission focuses on mobilizing national savings through various games of chance, while also regulating casinos, gaming halls, online platforms, and promotional games authorized by the State. Its products include scratch cards, raffle tickets, horse racing bets (Niger Urban Mutual Betting), lottery draws (Loto Balsa 5/90), and football-based games (Parifoot-Niger).

Colonel-Major Djibo emphasized that modernizing operations and strengthening the digital presence are key to remaining competitive amid fierce online gaming competition.
