Meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office: Strengthening ICRC Support in Mali

On Thursday, November 27, 2025, Prime Minister and Head of Government Major General Abdoulaye Maïga received Mr. Nicolas Lambert, Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Mali, at the Prime Minister’s Office.

ICRC Commitment: Mr. Lambert and his delegation reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening humanitarian efforts in Mali, particularly for those affected by armed conflict and violence.

Humanitarian Focus: The ICRC aims to provide healthcare, access to drinking water, and other assistance to the most vulnerable populations.

Promotion of International Humanitarian Law: Mr. Lambert requested Mali’s expertise in this area to further enhance the ICRC’s mission.

Government Support: The Prime Minister thanked the delegation for their work, encouraged the continuation of their mission, and assured full facilitation of the ICRC’s activities, in line with Mali’s partnership priorities.

This meeting underscores the collaborative efforts between the Malian government and the ICRC to protect vulnerable populations and strengthen humanitarian responses across the country.
