Kindu, Maniema, DRC - Théophile Buleli Docta, Vice-President of the Maniema Provincial Assembly, retained his position after a motion of impeachment filed by three members of his own party was rejected.

Accused of holding multiple positions deemed incompatible with his parliamentary responsibilities, the Kabambare representative received broad support from provincial deputies during the plenary session on November 4: 17 votes against the motion, 3 in favor, and one abstention.

According to Assembly rapporteur Papy Omeonga Tchopa, the complaints appeared to stem more from internal party disputes than from Buleli’s institutional duties, underscoring the renewed confidence of the assembly in its vice-president.
