Malian Justice Minister Meets Canadian Embassy Chargé d’Affaires

Bamako, January 24, 2026 - Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Keeper of the Seals, Mamoudou Kassogue, received Ms. Lee-Anne Hermann, Chargé d’Affaires of the Canadian Embassy in Mali and Niger, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation. The talks focused on justice sector reforms, promotion and protection of human rights, and future collaboration between Mali and Canada. Minister Kassogue praised the quality of the partnership and thanked Canada for its support in consolidating the rule of law, while Ms. Hermann reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to assisting Mali in justice, good governance, and fundamental rights initiatives.
