Malian Airstrikes Destroy Four Terrorist Bases in Nioro Region
Nioro, December 14, 2025 - Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) aircraft have destroyed four terrorist bases in the Nioro region: one in Dioka (northeast of Sandaré), two north of Lakamane, and one west of Sandaré.
The official report confirms the complete destruction of these facilities, significantly disrupting the operations of armed groups in this strategic border area. These strikes mark a major blow to jihadist infrastructure and underscore the transitional government's commitment to securing national territory.
The operation is expected to weaken enemy command structures and boost the morale of Malian forces, aligning with the objectives of the Strategic Defense Agreement (SDA), which aims to pool resources against terrorism.
However, neutral observers call for independent verification to prevent civilian harm and emphasize the importance of integrating humanitarian support for communities affected by these intense operations.
