Dogofry, Ségou region, January 6, 2026 - Following an airstrike that hit the market in Dogofry, in the Sokolo district, teams from MSF and the Ministry of Health treated 54 wounded people. Of these, 24 were transferred to the hospital in Niono and 30 to the Dogofry community health center. The majority of the wounded were children and women, including a pregnant woman who lost her child in the attack. Patients presented with fractures, cervical wounds, and signs of pneumothorax, requiring intensive care in the surgical ward in Niono. Attacks against civilians have been frequent in the region, notably on December 29 and January 3, particularly in the K2 area, where about ten people were wounded.
