London: Prime Minister Suminwa Calls for Peace and Equitable Partnerships in Eastern DRC

London, UK - On the sidelines of the CNN Global Perspectives on Africa conference on November 3, Congolese Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka outlined her government’s vision centered on peace, good governance, and sustainable resource management.

Addressing ongoing insecurity in eastern DRC, she held Rwanda responsible for the capture of Goma and Bukavu by M23 rebels, while stressing that achieving lasting peace remains the top priority of her mandate after three decades of deadly conflict.

Prime Minister Suminwa also called for equitable economic partnerships, highlighting that the DRC’s mineral resources should benefit local development, support transparent supply chains, and create jobs for Congolese youth.
