Par Sarah Ndaya2 min de lectureEnglish

At the end of her tour of Kongo-Central, Prime Minister Judith Suminwa launched construction work on the Kwilu-Ngongo-Kimpangu toll road on Wednesday 1 October 2025, a project entrusted to the China Road and Bridge Corporation and TECNOVIA consortium. With an estimated cost of USD 160.38 million, 20% of which is financed by the government and 80% by a bank loan, this project involves the modernisation of 96 km of dirt track into a two-lane asphalt road, the construction of a modern dry port in Kimpangu and the rehabilitation of urban roads.

Considered a strategic corridor linking National Road No. 1 to the Angolan border, this infrastructure is to be completed in 24 months and promises to boost the local economy, improve mobility and generate employment opportunities, a prospect welcomed with enthusiasm by users.
