Kinshasa, DRC - The military court of Kinshasa/Gombe opened the trial on Friday, October 24, 2025, for Honorine Porsche, a Congolese woman of German origin, and four co-defendants, following the failed robbery of the Rawbank branch at Place Victoire on October 16.

Porsche, identified as the gang leader, faces charges of terrorism, armed robbery, and criminal conspiracy, while her accomplices are charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. Rawbank has filed a civil suit, reporting losses of $10,500 during the attempted heist.

After the defendants were formally identified, the court adjourned proceedings until October 28 to allow legal counsel access to the case files. The public hearing, closely followed by Kinshasa residents, comes amid heightened efforts to combat organized crime. Meanwhile, separate proceedings are underway against law enforcement officers accused of abuses during the arrest of the suspects.
