Kinshasa: Preparations Launched for 9th ICGLR Summit of Heads of State and Government
Preparatory work for the 9th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) was officially launched on Tuesday, November 11, in Kinshasa, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Jacquemain Shabani.
This launch follows two days of consultations among regional experts and marks the beginning of preparations for the summit, scheduled for November 15, 2025, under the theme "Consolidating Peace and Security in the Great Lakes Countries."
According to the Minister, these discussions are essential for strengthening stability, security, and sustainable development in the region, enabling the Great Lakes countries to develop their natural resources and contribute fully to the global economy.
