Journalists Forced Out of UNPC Offices
Goma DRC February 2, 2026 - The National Union of Congolese Press (UNPC) in North Kivu has been ordered to vacate its offices in Goma by RTNC provincial authorities. The building, donated by MONUSCO, will cease operations as of today. Journalists say the move is linked to AFC/M23 control of RTNC and denounce it as pressure on press freedom. They vow to continue working despite the risks.
