JNIM Destroys Malian Army Vehicle in Ségou with IED
Ségou, February 1, 2026 - The JNIM (Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims) released images showing a Malian army vehicle that was attacked with an improvised explosive device (IED) on the afternoon of February 1, 2026, between Markala and Ké-Macina in the Ségou region. According to the released images, the military vehicle was completely destroyed and all occupants were killed instantly, highlighting the ongoing security threats and deadly insurgent activity in the region.
