TILLABÉRI, Niger - In a decisive push to address critical infrastructure gaps, the Minister of Equipment and Infrastructure, Colonel-Major Salissou Mahaman Salissou, launched rehabilitation works on the 112-kilometer Farié-Téra section of the RN4 national road on Thursday, November 13. This strategic project is expected to significantly enhance regional mobility, trade flow, security operations, and access to essential services across the Tillabéri region, which has long struggled with deteriorated transport infrastructure amid persistent security challenges.

In parallel, efforts to reinforce municipal governance and public service coordination advanced in the Tahoua region. On the same day, Thursday, November 13, Governor Colonel-Major Souleymane Amadou Moussa presided over the opening of a technical workshop aimed at strengthening local administrative capacity, public service performance, and collaborative management between Development Associations and Secretary-Generals of partner communes.

The workshop underscored the government’s broader commitment to improving local governance, service delivery, and decentralized development, aligning with national priorities highlighted throughout President Tiani’s ongoing reform agenda.
