Bandiagara, March 8, 2026 - Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maïga, representing President of the Transition Assimi Goïta, laid the foundation stone for a new Traditional Authority Building in Bandiagara on Sunday, providing the 19th administrative region with dedicated facilities for local traditional leaders. The building will feature a vestibule, offices, guest rooms, and parking, and is scheduled for completion within ten months. Construction will be carried out by La Falaise du Mali, with the architectural firm ALDI overseeing the project. Prime Minister Maïga praised the presidential initiative to equip all regions with formal spaces for traditional authorities, emphasizing their vital role in maintaining national stability and preserving cultural heritage.
