DRC: Moves to Strengthen Military Cooperation with Burkina Faso, Niger, and Russia
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Guy Kabombo Muadiamvita, reaffirmed on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, the DRC’s commitment to enhancing military cooperation with Burkina Faso, Niger, and the Russian Federation.
He made the statement at the first African Defense and Security Exhibition, “BAMZEX 25,” held in Bamako, Mali. During discussions with African and international counterparts, Minister Kabombo emphasized experience-sharing and military training, in line with President Félix Tshisekedi's vision of a security-autonomous Africa.
The Congolese minister highlighted that Africa possesses the human, technical, and moral resources necessary for its own security, and stressed the need to revitalize the Congolese defense industry. The exhibition was themed “Africa at the heart of global defense innovations.”
