Kinshasa - On December 8, 2025, the Ministry of National Economy launched a pre-registration campaign for informal economy actors in Kinshasa, under the National Mass Formalization Program.
The initiative seeks to identify and integrate small traders, artisans, and service providers into the formal economy, providing access to economic opportunities, universal health coverage, social protection, vocational training, and bank credit.
Trained enumerators, identifiable by official badges and vests, will collect data digitally while ensuring confidentiality. The Ministry urged all stakeholders to cooperate and submit identification documents to obtain their registration certificate from the One-Stop Shop for Business Creation.
