Kinshasa, November 18, 2025 - Opposition leader Martin Fayulu, head of the Lamuka coalition, renewed his call for an inclusive national dialogue in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He warned that the country is at a critical juncture, facing what he described as a risk of balkanization.

Fayulu criticized the recent economic integration agreement signed between the DRC and Rwanda under U.S. mediation, labeling it a potential threat to national sovereignty. Addressing young Congolese, he urged vigilance and active participation in defending the country’s territorial integrity.

“No external agreement can precede the reconciliation of the children of Congo,” Fayulu emphasized, adding that “a united people will never be defeated.”
