DRC: Inflation Falls to 2.7%, Signaling Slowdown in Cost of Living Increases
Kinshasa, DRC - The Economic Situation Committee announced on November 7, 2025, that inflation in the Democratic Republic of Congo has fallen to 2.7%, well below the projected 7.8% for the year. Authorities attribute the decrease to stable market prices and a slowdown in the rising cost of living.
The government, led by Prime Minister Judith Suminwa, credited fiscal discipline, the stability of the Congolese franc, and measures to control public spending for the favorable outcome. Officials emphasized that ongoing efforts aim to strengthen economic resilience and sustain the downward trend in inflation.
