Par Sarah Ndaya2 min de lectureEnglish

Kinshasa, DRC - The Congolese government has welcomed recent signs of macroeconomic stability, including the appreciation of the national currency and controlled inflation. The Economic Situation Committee (CCE), meeting on October 28, 2025, under Prime Minister Judith Suminwa, highlighted sustained economic growth and a stable exchange rate as positive indicators.

Minister of State Guylain Nyembo noted that the strengthening of the Congolese franc against the U.S. dollar helps protect citizens’ purchasing power. He added that the government is intensifying measures to curb speculation and promote transactions in local currency.

Officials expressed confidence that these steps will contribute to a gradual stabilization of prices for goods and services, supporting overall economic resilience and the welfare of Congolese households.
