DRC: Active Participation in 6th African Conference on Land Policies in Addis Ababa
The Democratic Republic of Congo has been represented in Addis Ababa since November 10, 2025, at the 6th African Conference on Land Policies by a delegation led by Solange Kwinja, a land governance expert.
The conference, which gathers representatives from African governments, international organizations, and civil society, aims to strengthen land policies for sustainable development.
The DRC delegation presented key challenges including land conflicts in the eastern provinces, the securing of land rights for local communities, and initiatives to modernize land management.
Congolese participants advocated for resolutions promoting equitable access to land, conflict prevention, and the promotion of agricultural investment, aiming to bolster the country’s stability and socio-economic development.
