Burkina Faso Reviews Government Parliamentary Activities for 2024-2025
Ouagadougou, December 8, 2025 - The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, responsible for relations with institutions, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, inaugurated a seminar focused on reviewing the Government’s parliamentary activities for the years 2024 and 2025.
Organized by the Directorate General for Relations with Institutions (DGRI), the session aims to raise awareness of DGRI’s role, promote the operational mechanisms of the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT), and compile a consolidated review of two years of parliamentary sessions.
In his opening remarks, Minister Bayala highlighted the strategic importance of the seminar:"This consultation framework is an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better and to exchange views with all stakeholders on the missions of my ministry in its relations with institutions, the missions of the legislative body, and to address the difficulties that hinder relations between the Government and the legislative body."
Over the two-day session, parliamentarians and representatives from key institutions will analyze the progress of parliamentary activities, identify challenges, and propose actionable solutions. A summary report will be produced at the conclusion of the seminar.
The initiative seeks to strengthen effective, transparent, and results-oriented institutional partnerships within Burkina Faso’s public sector.
