Burkina Faso Minister of Justice Attends Opening of Niger’s 2025-2026 Judicial Year
Niamey, December 12, 2025 - The official opening of the 2025-2026 judicial year in Niger took place Friday at the Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Center in Niamey, presided over by His Excellency General Abdourahmane Tiani, President of the Republic of Niger and Head of State.
Representing Burkina Faso, Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Keeper of the Seals, Mr. Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, attended the ceremony on behalf of President Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The event brought together Nigerien dignitaries, including Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, members of the National Committee for the Salvation of the People (CNSP), government officials, presidents of national institutions, heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations, magistrates, and other distinguished guests.
During the event, President Tiani granted a private audience to Minister Bayala, highlighting the close judicial and diplomatic ties between Burkina Faso and Niger, as well as their shared commitment to regional cooperation and rule of law.
