Ouagadougou, December 18, 2025 - The Ministry of Public Service, Labor, and Social Protection (MFPTPS) organized a two-day workshop on December 18-19, 2025, to introduce labor inspectors and controllers to the innovations in the revised methodological guide.

Chaired by Stella Zoungrana Somé, Director General of Labor, the event brought together central-level labor stakeholders. Ms. Zoungrana highlighted that the guide, updating the 2011 edition, is not merely a reference but a practical tool providing structured procedures, guidance, and methods for inspection, advisory, conciliation, and investigative missions. Participants reviewed the guide’s innovations, shared experiences, and explored ways to strengthen Burkina Faso’s labor inspection system.

In parallel, the Interdepartmental Cup and Affiliated Structures of MFPTPS concluded on December 18 at the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM). The tournament, returning after more than ten years, featured ten teams representing various departments.

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) faced the Human Resources and Information Systems Directorate (DRH-DSI) in the final. After a draw in regulation time, CNSS won on penalties.

Minister Mathias Traoré praised the competition for fostering camaraderie, solidarity, discipline, and patriotism, aligning with President Captain Ibrahim Traoré’s vision to promote well-being and excellence among Burkinabè citizens. Awards were presented to players and coaching staff, while the Minister also paid tribute to the armed forces for their tireless service.

This dual event highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to modernizing labor oversight while promoting team spirit, health, and motivation among civil servants.
