Burkina Faso Holds 3rd Consultation Framework to Strengthen Regional Cooperation

Ouagadougou, December 16, 2025 - The Minister Delegate for Regional Cooperation, Ms. Bêbgnasgnan Stella Eldine KABRE/KABORE, launched the 3rd Consultation Framework with leaders of regional and sub-regional organizations accredited to Burkina Faso on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Regional Cooperation, is designed to facilitate dialogue between Ministry officials and regional and sub-regional organization leaders, focusing on aligning national development initiatives with regional programs.

The theme of the consultation was: “Contribution of Presidential Initiatives to the Endogenous Development of Burkina Faso.” In her opening remarks, Ms. KABRE/KABORE praised the commitment of organizations to strengthening Burkina Faso’s resilience and development. She described the meeting as a “privileged forum for dialogue, mutual listening, and synergy” to better integrate national projects with regional programs.

Representing the regional and sub-regional organizations, Mr. Gaafar Rizgallah welcomed the framework, highlighting that it demonstrates the government’s dedication to inclusive development and shared responsibility. He stressed that strong partnerships based on trust and shared objectives allow for the implementation of development initiatives meeting international standards.

The consultation provided an opportunity to review organizational interventions, explore new avenues for collaboration, and engage in direct dialogue between the Minister Delegate and the representatives.

In addition, a fundraising event for the Faso Mêbo initiative was held during the meeting, further reinforcing the commitment of regional and sub-regional actors to national development projects and the mobilization of the Burkinabè diaspora and partners.
