Burkina Faso-China: Strengthening Economic and Strategic Partnership
Ouagadougou, December 17, 2025 - Burkina Faso’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Aboubakar Nacanabo, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao Deyong, on Wednesday to discuss bilateral economic cooperation.
The meeting focused on collaboration across key sectors, including health, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure. Both officials emphasized the importance of aligning Chinese support with Burkina Faso’s national development priorities.
Ambassador Zhao highlighted Burkina Faso’s significant development projects and reaffirmed China’s commitment to contributing through presidential initiatives, underlining the goal of a strengthened strategic and economic partnership between the two countries.
