Burkina Faso: 2026 Finance Law Nears Submission to Transitional Legislative Assembly
Ouagadougou, December 18, 2025 - The draft 2026 Finance Law is approaching its final stage in the Transitional Legislative Assembly (ALT).
Following consultations with various ministries and institutions, and after the arbitration by the Finance and Budget Committee (COMFIB), a key step was taken on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Minister of Economy and Finance Aboubakar Nacanabo, accompanied by a ministry delegation, held a working session with COMFIB members to review and adopt the committee’s report.
The initial draft Finance Law for the 2026 fiscal year, along with the COMFIB report, will now be submitted to the ALT plenary session for review and adoption, marking a decisive step toward implementing Burkina Faso’s 2026 budgetary and economic priorities.
