Beni: WFP Integrates Community Priorities into Five-Year Plan

On Thursday, November 13, the World Food Programme (WFP) launched a consultation process in Beni, involving provincial authorities, development actors, and civil society in North Kivu. The initiative aims to integrate the real needs of local communities into the formulation of WFP’s five-year plan.

The process was welcomed by Éric Kisa Kayobera, Senior Coordinator of the Provincial Administration, as part of a participatory governance approach designed to identify priorities on the ground and strengthen collaboration with the Congolese government.

He emphasized the importance of collecting data in remote areas to ensure that the future program is community-rooted and addresses the basic needs of the population.
