Army Locates and Neutralizes Attackers Near Sikasso

Sikasso, January 21, 2026 - The General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces announced that the armed terrorist groups who attacked a military post on the southern outskirts of Sikasso have been located in a forest near Fatia. According to the army, several militants were neutralized, while others fled, abandoning motorcycles, communication equipment, solar panels, batteries, food supplies, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
