ANASER, Police, and Gendarmerie Join Forces for 2026

Bamako, January 30, 2026 - The National Road Safety Agency (ANASER), the National Police, the National Gendarmerie, and Civil Protection have established a new partnership to enhance road safety across Mali. During a ceremony on Friday afternoon, presided over by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure and the Minister of Security and Civil Protection, the technical services signed three agreements to formalize the collaboration. The agreements, approved by Ministers Madina Sissoko Dembélé and Daoud Aly Mohammedine, focus on the organization of joint roadside checks and the provision of first aid training for road users. Under the joint road control operations, 110 combined ANASER/National Police operations are planned in the cities of Bamako, Kayes, Koulikoro, Kati, Sikasso, Ségou, San, Mopti, Dioila, Nioro, Nara, Bougouni, Gao, Koutiala, Kita, Bandiagara, Fana, and Kenieba.
