5th Mali-South Africa Day Celebrated in Bamako
Bamako, February 13, 2026 - The 5th edition of “Mali-South Africa Day” was celebrated on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Modibo Keïta Memorial in Bamako, highlighting unity and cultural diversity. The opening ceremony was attended by Ms. Fadimata Walet Agatham, Head of Mission representing the Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hospitality and Tourism, Mamou Daffé, the representative of the Minister in charge of Malians Residing Abroad and African Integration, the Chargé d’Affaires of the South African Embassy, members of the Malian National Transitional Council, and Mr. Dramane Souare, founder of the Africa Youth Time platform. The event celebrated strengthening cultural ties and bilateral cooperation between Mali and South Africa, emphasizing the role of youth and cultural exchange in promoting regional unity.
