Kigali, Rwanda, March 25, 2026 - The Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement, Dr. Jean Damascène Bizimana, is expected to address young people at the upcoming Gen-Z Comedy show scheduled for March 26 at Camp Kigali. Organizers of the event say the invitation aims to give youth an opportunity to learn more about Rwandan history and civic values, particularly as the country approaches the Genocide Remembrance period against the Tutsi. The event promoter, Ndaruhutse Merci, also known as Fally Merci, said the initiative is intended to combine entertainment with education, noting that many young attendees are eager to better understand national history and identity. According to organizers, the show will feature a mix of comedians and performers from Rwanda and the region, alongside guest appearances, as part of a broader effort to engage youth through cultural events. They added that although the platform is primarily comedic, it also serves as a space for civic education and dialogue with public figures. The Gen-Z Comedy show, regularly hosted at Camp Kigali, has grown in popularity since its launch in 2022 and has become one of the recurring entertainment events targeting young audiences in Rwanda.
