Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop Bids Farewell to UNAIDS Country Director

Bamako Mali, February 5, 2026 - Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdoulaye Diop, received Dr. Marc Saba, Country Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), in a farewell audience marking the end of his mission in Mali. During the meeting in Bamako, Minister Diop praised Dr. Saba’s commitment and contributions to the Malian government, particularly in strengthening the national response to HIV/AIDS. He highlighted the quality of cooperation between Mali and UNAIDS, noting tangible progress in prevention efforts, treatment access, and care for people living with HIV.
